The Royal Conservatory has been the standard for musical education in Canada since 1886.
The Royal Conservatory offers a graded, curriculum that establishes clear, progressive learning goals. Students gain a sense of pride and accomplishment as their successes build within the program.
The graded Piano Repertoire books encompass early elementary to advanced levels. The repertoire comprises a carefully selected grouping of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th and 21st Century style periods.

When preparing for a Royal Conservatory Examination, students should have all repertoire pieces and studies memorized six weeks ahead of the scheduled examination date. Also, all technical requirements should be thoroughly learned and committed to memory six weeks ahead of the scheduled examination date. This way, we are afforded enough time to polish and gain confidence in performing the work before we actually perform it at the examination.
