Glenn Gould is one of Canada’s most important cultural figures. At the time of his death in 1982, his reputation as one of the world’s premier musicians was at its zenith. His original and sometimes controversial interpretations of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart were, and continue to be, the subject of much debate. In fact, since his death, Gould’s international following has continued to grow and he is a phenomenon on the internet.
